Learning Support Assistant

1to1 Group is looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team in Winchester. The role can be part time or full time but must be 9am-4pm. There is flexibility on which days you can work.
As a member of the Additional Learning Support team, you will assist individual learners to realise their learning goals and full potential.
 
Day to day responsibilities:
·Assisting learners in any learning environment e.g. classroom, study centre or during an outside activity.
·Provide full support on a one-to-one basis.
·Supporting learners and checking understanding. This may include breaking down tasks into manageable chunks, assisting with focus and concentration and acting as a scribe.
·Liaising with teaching staff on learners progression and taking part in half-termly reviews with teaching staff if required.
·Maintain health and safety by supervising learners in out-of-class activities, including break time and bus duty when required.
Requirements:
·Preferred previous LSA experience
·Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will need to undergo a screening process including an Enhanced DBS.
