Purchasing Assistant

·Hours: Monday-Thursday 7.30 am – 4.45pm, Friday 7.30 am – 12 pm.

1to1 group are currently seeking an organized and proactive Purchaser to join a client based in Winchester. As a purchaser, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient stock management and production support. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working within a successful and dynamic business.
 
Key responsibilities:
·Working as part of a team of four that focuses on purchasing stock and managing strategic components.
·Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
·Updating internal systems with information relating to lead times, acknowledged dates, prices, and MoQ details.
·Managing subcontract processes specifically related to strategic components.
·Resolving logistics and shipping queries to maintain smooth operations.
·Coordinating orders and stock management across multiple sites.
·Ordering packaging materials to maintain a continuous stock flow for production.
 
Required skills and experience:
·The ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
·Strong time management and organizational skills.
·Proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel.
·Proficiency in using MRP systems (such as Microsoft D365) is advantageous.
·Experience in a purchasing role is advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided.
